Last month, we had the amazing honor to sit with Bex Tyrer and dive deep into the wisdom of the menstrual cycle.
Unfortunately we had a glitch with Zoom and were unable to recover the recording of our time together. 💔
However Bex, such a beautiful spirit, wanted you to have it so much that she re-recorded the session just for you. She also wrote a beautiful note with suggested reading and amazing insights which you can read below.
You can re- watch the session here:
A note from Bex:
Dear Women,
Thank you so much for your participation in The Wisdom of the Menstrual Cycle session.
For those of you eager to go deeper into this work, I have an upcoming online course: Moon Month. Which has 40 practices (10 for each of the 4 seasons) which is aimed to support your path of menstrual cycle awareness.
The course is self-paced with unlimited access, but it starts on the 1 st of October with a welcome introductory call. The last day of the Early Bird Price is the 21 st September. If you have any other questions then just let me know :)
For in-person courses, check out my “Women ReWilding” 100-hour TTC at the Yoga Barn from 7- 16 th December, where we take a deep dive into many of the topics we introduced in our time together.
In regards to follow-up resources I promised…here are some suggestions to get you started:
Uma Dinsmore Tuli: Yoni Shakti
I consider this my Yoga Bible. Amazing piece of work by a wonderful teacher and woman. It is huge but it is also a very accessible read. Many of the practices we will do are inspired from here, so this would be a wonderful resource for you to have.
Alexandra Pope and Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer: Wild Power
A life changing book if you weren’t aware of the magic of Menstrual Conscious Awareness. We will explore this throughout the course. The “Red School” deck of cards is what I used during the slide show.
Naomi Wolf: Vagina - A New Biography
Another incredible book for understanding the connection between a woman’s
empowerment and her Yoni! Including the link between creativity and sexuality, healthy intimacy and pelvic organ health.
Emily Nagoski: Come as you are
Emily dives deep into sexuality and intimacy. Her work can help to make sense of how complex and utterly incredible the female body is.

*** Additional great reads ***
Lisa Hendrickson-Jack, The Fifth Vital Sign: Master your cycles and optimize your fertility
A great resource to really get to know the biology of your cycle from your ovulation to period.
Lara Briden, The Period Repair Manual
So much great info for women under the age of 35. This is the education which I wish I had received years ago.
Lara Briden, The Hormone Repair Manual
An epic book to explain peri-menopause and how we can support this second puberty. Essentially how to become a detective of your own hormonal health. For women over 35.
Jane Bennett and Alexandra Pope, The Pill: are you sure it’s for you
If you are currently on hormonal contraceptives, I would highly recommend that you to read this.
If you have any other questions, or would like to be put on my mailing list, please shoot me a message at freedomthrumovement@gmail.com
With Love,
