When I think of pendulums, I don’t just think of divination tools. I think of my mom.
She used to own one – delicate, simple, mysterious. After she passed, I noticed I didn’t have any of her jewelry. One day, while going through her things in Germany, looking for something that might bring me closer to her, I suddenly found her pendulum. By then I was already living in Bali, deep in my own journey of creating and shaping Ananda Soul.
To hold that pendulum in my hands felt like receiving a whisper from her. A gentle nudge. A legacy. A reminder that even though she is no longer here in the way I knew her, her voice, her gaze, her wisdom, still flow through me.
Grief has a way of teaching us to listen differently. The pendulum became not only a connection to my mother but also an heirloom that reminded me: answers don’t come from the outside. They come from within. From the quiet pull of intuition. From the subtle language of the heart. And because of this it feels like my mother has been guiding me through this journey of life no matter what.

This is also the why behind creating the collection. The moment I found my mother’s pendulum, I understood how a small object can become a lifelong companion in listening. I wanted to share that possibility with others, to offer pieces that carry both beauty and quiet guidance.
Now I carry our pendulums with me everywhere. Sometimes I wear one; sometimes it simply rests in my bag, a gentle weight that steadies me. Wherever I go, it feels like a soft echo of my mother’s gift and a quiet reassurance that guidance is always within reach.

And truthfully, this is also how Ananda Soul came into being. Not through strict planning or rigid structures, but through listening, responding, and trusting. Every turning point in our story, the decision to create jewelry in the first place, the themes we design, the people who joined our team, the way we opened our stores was guided by intuition and spontaneity.
These are the red threads that weave through everything we do:
