The people behind the jewelry

Since founding Ananda Soul in 2008, one question has guided everything we do:
How can we live and work in alignment with our values? In the choices we make, the relationships we build, and the way this company grows.

Over the years, Ananda Soul has become much more than a jewelry brand. It has become a community of people connected by a shared desire to bring a little more kindness, presence, beauty, integrity, and compassion into the world.
From the people who source our materials to our artisans, production team, shop assistants, marketers, photographers, and fulfillment team, every person contributes their unique gifts to what Ananda Soul is today.

As we've grown, one thing has remained important: remembering that we are humans first.
We do our best to create a workplace founded in mutual respect, flexibility, understanding, and care. A place where people can bring their whole selves to work, where individuality is celebrated, and where life is allowed to be life. 

Because ultimately, the energy people feel in our jewelry doesn't begin with silver, gemstones, or design. It begins with people. The people who create it, bless it, package it, share it, and the people who choose to wear it.

ABOUT CHRISTINA

Christina Zipperlen is an artist, mother, and the founder and designer behind Ananda Soul.

Born in Germany, she left home at eighteen to explore the world, following a steady pull toward a life shaped more by meaning than expectation. What began as a personal journey of healing and creative expression eventually became Ananda Soul in 2008, a body of work that continues to evolve alongside her.

Christina is first and foremost an artist. Whether through jewelry, poetry, or conversation, her work is shaped by a deep curiosity about what it means to be human. Her designs emerge through intuition, shaped by what she senses people are moving through and needing in a given moment. From the earliest sketch to the final refinement, she remains closely involved in every piece, working alongside a talented team of artisans in Bali to bring each design to life.

Over the years, Ananda Soul has grown into something more than a jewelry brand. It has become a community of people connected through creativity, care, and a shared desire to bring a little more beauty and meaning into the world.

Today, Christina's life is guided by slower and more intentional priorities. She is a mother, poet, designer, and podcast host who finds inspiration in nature, conversation, meditation, and the ordinary moments that remind us what truly matters.

At the heart of her work is a simple offering: to create pieces that help people return to themselves, trust their inner wisdom, and remember that who they are is already enough.

OUR TEAM

The heart of Ananda Soul

Ananda Soul wouldn’t be where it is today without the help of an incredible group of people from across the Indonesian archipelago. From an initial team of 2 people in 2008, to 30+ members and growing, the Ananda Soul team has expanded organically and intentionally.

The team shows up not only for our shared vision behind Ananda Soul, but also for their families, their loved ones, themselves, and for each other.  From the very beginning, we've tried to build a company where people are encouraged to grow into their strengths, contribute in meaningful ways, and feel valued for who they are.

It is a privilege to work alongside these wonderful humans and to create something together that is bigger than any one of us.

MEET SOME TEAM MEMBERS

YUNI

Operations Manager, from Bali

With us since 2016, Bu Yuni has been such an important part of our story. She leads the biggest part of the Ananda Soul team, handling all of our stores’ operations. She has seen our company’s expansion through laughter, kindness, growing pains, and even tears during Bali's volcanic eruptions from Mount Agung in 2017. Yuni says that her journey has felt like watching a beloved seed in her garden sprout, succeed, and ultimately bloom into a beautiful flower. She is incredibly passionate about the natural world, and can be found outside of work in her garden or learning more about agriculture. Bu Yuni feels most like herself when she successfully overcomes challenges, and her favorite gemstone is ruby because of its beauty, strong color, and symbolism of passion and energy. 

YULIA

Production Manager, from Bali

With us since 2014, Yulia quickly became a bedrock of Ananda Soul. She knows absolutely everything about our materials, production procedures, artisans and how to care for our pieces. It’s truly touching to see the amount of love that she shows to each and every piece of jewelry. Her favorite part of her job is the people, especially her team who keep her laughing and make the days fun. Outside of work, she pours her love into her orchid garden. She loves traveling to orchid events and exhibitions, and meeting new people who share her passion. Her favorite Ananda Soul collection is Among The Stars because of the Labradorite. She’s drawn to the beautiful colors and feels they contain all the colors of the Earth. 

NOVA

Strategic Operations and Finance Manager, from Sumatra

Joining us in 2026, Nova’s expertise and team spirit immediately shone. She genuinely loves working with numbers intentionally to support decisions and growth in a meaningful and sustainable way. Nova feels most like herself when she’s learning new things, and believes learning can come from anywhere. She’s fascinated by people’s life stories and ways of thinking, and always explores the museums when she’s travelling. She also loves being a mom, and spends the weekends enjoying her family, cooking their favorite foods together, and dreaming up a future trip to Keukenhof to see the tulips in bloom. Nova’s favorite Ananda Soul collection is Three Petals and her favorite gemstone is garnet. She says she feels like it is elegant and grounding at the same time, and full of warmth and love (and we totally agree!). 

ROBYN

Strategic Business Development/Management, from Canada and the US

A resident of Bali since 2009, Robyn joined Ananda Soul in 2018. A master of all things strategy, structuring, SEO, and so much more, Robyn is an integral part of Ananda Soul’s success. She says that working with this team is magic, and that walking into an office where everyone smiles, welcomes you, and genuinely cares about each other is something that she’s so proud to be a part of. She is an adventurous nature-lover who can be found (or not found!) travelling the world to snowboard, scuba dive, dance, meet new people, and simply experience and explore. One of her powerful gifts is the way she cares for others. To know Robyn is to feel heard, understood, and deeply supported. Her favorite Ananda Soul pieces are our Eye of the Storm ring, the Wild Treasures collection, and anything with smoky quartz! 

INTAN

Creative Director, from Kalimantan (Indonesian Borneo)

With Ananda Soul since 2020, Intan is a creative magician. Everything you experience on our website and digital channels is what she pours her heart into everyday. She defines her role as turning emotions into something visible, and her sensitivity is her superpower. It can be felt in every photo, color palette, and beam of light that catches a piece just right. When she’s not creating for work, she’s creating recipes in the kitchen with her daughter. Intan loves the way that there are no real mistakes when cooking, just happy accidents, and how following your instincts always pays off. She’s learning to bring that philosophy into every other corner of her life too. Her favorite Ananda Soul pieces are the Among The Stars ring and the Dare To Shine necklace, which she wears daily as a reminder to step into the spotlight even as she excels in her natural capacity to make so much magic for all of us “backstage”.

YANTI

Fulfilment Coordinator, from Bandung, West Java

Rejoining the team in 2019 after taking a break to raise her child, Yanti has held many roles and seen many stages of our journey, and us hers. From HR to inventory and consignment to fulfilment, she has actually been part of the Ananda Soul family since 2014. Yanti’s energy is unmistakable, and invaluable to our entire team. Her calm, grace, and warmth, mixed with the most incredible organizational skills make her a true pleasure to be around and work alongside. These gifts are extended to her family in her time away from the office, and she is deeply passionate about her forever-role of mother. She says motherhood is where she feels both her softest and her strongest, and her biggest dream is to provide the best possible future for her child while continuing to grow personally and professionally. Yanti’s favorite Ananda Soul pieces are anything featuring moonstone. To her, it symbolizes new beginnings and feminine intuition, always reminding her to trust the process of life and her own inner-strength. 

GUNG-DE

Consignment and Wholesale Manager, from Bali

Joining Ananda in 2023, Gung De helps our partners experience the Ananda Soul spirit. He works closely with stores, hotels, and other national and international partners and is passionate about developing genuine relationships that feel natural, impactful, and long-lasting. Outside of work, Gung De loves trail running for the way it clears his mind, keeps him grounded, and creates community around a common passion. Growing up in Bali, he learned early on just how important community is, especially in creating a person's sense of connection, resilience through challenges, and growth in how they see themselves. Gung De’s favorite Ananda Soul pieces are the ones that hold labradorite. To him, it has always stood out because it feels calm but strong at the same time, with a depth that reveals itself when you take time to really look at it. 

YORI

Customer Happiness, from West Sumatra

With us since 2023, Yori is who you are speaking with if you reach out to us via email. She is the one whispering gentle and clear words to soothe any questions and concerns that you may have. Always willing to listen, to share, and to receive, her heart’s gifts and love for helping others truly shine in this role. She loves laughing and sharing small moments of joy, and makes sure the office is filled with both. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in communication, Yori’s dedication to her studies and personal growth is truly impressive. An animal lover, she dreams of building a shelter for dogs and cats so that they can enjoy their lives peacefully. Her favorite Ananda Soul pieces are from the You Are Loved and Daydreamer collections. 

PUTU

Fulfilment Team, from Gianyar, Bali

Joining us in 2014, Putu is one of our original team members (alongside her best friend Ayu). Starting as a shop assistant in our very first store, Putu has become a beloved member of our Fulfilment Team. She says her favorite part of her job is imagining your smile as you open the pieces that she packed with so much love. Putu also assists the Balinese priest that blesses every piece of our jewelry, and is the one who prepares and prays over the daily offerings at our office. She is incredibly funny, loves making people laugh, and keeps the office atmosphere bright and cheerful. Her dream is to continue growing in gratitude, to see her children grow up healthy and happy, and to continue spreading positive energy to everyone around her. The Moon Phase collections and any pieces that carry moonstones are her favorites. She’s called to their pure intentions, and says their messages always feel like a gentle hug for the soul.

AYU

Quality Control, from Pejeng, Bali

Also joining us in 2014, Ayu is the other team member we have had the pleasure of knowing the longest. We’re so grateful to have had her by our side from nearly day one! She is the queen of quality control, Ayu says she truly loves her work. She is the one loving up on each and every piece of jewelry before it makes its way to you, an absolutely integral part of the process that makes Ananda Soul magic possible. Not only is she great at her job, but she does it while making everyone, especially her best friend Putu, laugh and join in on her joy. Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking and says that even though it’s not always delicious, her husband says it is :) Her favorite pieces are anything that holds moonstone because she loves its color and considers it her lucky stone.

KADEK

Fulfilment Team, from Ubud, Bali

With us since 2015, Kadek also began in our Bali store before joining the office team. Working closely with Yanti and Putu, she is one of the people who pours an extra layer of love into each piece, packaging them up for delivery with care, intention, and kindness. Kadek says her favorite thing about the fulfilment team is getting to work alongside very good people who truly support each other, and that she feels blessed to work in a place that helps her deepen her understanding of team work, and of gratefulness. Outside of work, she is a devoted mother to her two boys and focuses on her family. Kadek’s favorite Ananda Soul pieces are the ones containing smoky quartz, like the Gentle Warrior earrings and the Bold to Be ring.
