MEET THE CHILDREN

At Ananda Soul, we believe that a better tomorrow is one where community thrives.
Education is a fundamental right for every child, yet not all children have access to it.

Since our inception in 2008, we've been committed to being a brand that gives back through support for the women and children of the communities where we create and produce our products. Without the island of Bali, there wouldn’t be an Ananda Soul. This magical place has been at the heart of our inspiration and our designs since the very beginning. Bali's lush nature, vibrant culture, and profoundly spiritual, generous people are at the very core of our brand.

We’re proud to be a brand that was born out of a deep desire to make art in a way that serves a greater purpose, where every decision made and collection created is in integrity with our values and mission. At the heart of this mission is empowering the women of Bali and supporting their families through children’s education.

We’re grateful to share the outcomes thus far of the work that we’re honored to continue.

In Bali, many families are experiencing poverty and struggling to send their children to school. We know that disrupting these cycles is a pivotal way to create lasting change. Education serves as a powerful tool that not only transforms individual lives but also uplifts entire communities. As we empower Balinese children through education, we simultaneously empower their families and villages, creating a ripple effect of positive change, possibility, and hope.

With a solid educational foundation, these children can grow up to be the future leaders, innovators, and changemakers of Bali, equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. Providing education, mirroring different ways of thinking, communicating and empowering them to speak their own truth are essential means for a self-determined and impactful life that contributes to a better, thriving community. Investing in their education is an investment in a brighter, more prosperous future for Bali.

WHAT WE ARE DOING

That's why 10% of the profits from every purchase from Ananda Soul go towards education access for underprivileged children in the north of Bali. Through our collaboration with the Bali Children Foundation, we fund scholarships, school supplies, and other educational initiatives to give these children the opportunity to learn and thrive. We are currently sponsoring 11 children through the entirety of their elementary and high school years.

If you feel called to directly support our commitment to education access, you can discover our Threads of Impact non-profit collection. With these pieces, 100% of your purchase will support The Bali Children Foundation.

At present, we have donated over $15,000 (USD) to the Bali Children Foundation because we truly believe that children are the leaders, shapers and the decision makers of a better tomorrow.

WHO WE WORK WITH

In 2021, we began our work with Bali Children Foundation, a registered nonprofit organization that focuses on education access for children from Balinese families, as a way out of poverty.

They are an active presence in the lives of these children through their comprehensive programs that support education all the way to employment. These include student sponsorships, upgrading schools and libraries, preserving mother and infant health for the critical first thousand days of a child's life, and teaching English to improve their employability. These programs not only support communities and provide access to basic education, but also equip the children with practical skills they can use in their future careers.

It is the mission of Bali Children Foundation to ensure that better futures are available to these children, so that they can beat the statistics, make their dreams come true, and ultimately help not only themselves but also their families and communities.

Supporting Our Community Over the Years

For more than a decade, we have supported a variety of initiatives aligned with our core values to serve and support our local community, particularly women and children. Our contributions have helped expand access to education, create employment opportunities for mothers, and fund initiatives that tackle social and environmental issues in Bali.

Since 2021, we have contributed more than $21,000 (USD) to projects that support Balinese mothers and children (Bali Children Foundation and Bali Street Mums), and over $50,000 (USD) through our Adopt a Family and Earthquake relief projects during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are grateful to have been able to support over 1,300 families in Bali in times of crisis and difficulties.

Our most recent Threads of Impact Collection (launched in July 2024) is made with the help of Balinese moms and is a non-profit collection that has been solely realized for the purpose of offering funds directly to two main local projects that we have been supporting for several years now, the Bali Children Foundation and The Bali Street Mums Project.

THANK YOU

We would have not been able to achieve all of this without you, our dear customers and supporters. It is because of your purchases that we have been able to fund these scholarships and educational initiatives. It is an honor to live our values alongside you, and contribute to initiatives that we truly believe in.

We have witnessed firsthand how education has transformed these children's lives, from learning to read and write to pursuing higher education, and even securing jobs that bring financial stability to themselves and their families. Every time you wear an Ananda Soul piece, know that you are not just adorning yourself with a beautiful piece of jewelry, but you are also making a positive impact in the lives of these children.

We have come a long way in supporting humans from our local community, yet, there is so much more to do and we continue to aspire to change the world just a little.

Thank you from all of us for your deep support and nourishment!
